— My performance at the Road to the Rockin’ River Music Fest went over very well, great feedback from the judges and the crowd loved it. It just wasn’t enough for me to move on. It was great exposure for me, with media and industry professionals in the house, and it was a really fun night! Congratulations to all the excellent artists who are moving on.

— From Prince George I went to Revelstoke, where I played at the Last Drop Pub to a most enthusiastic audience! I did have to compete with a couple of noisy pool tables, that’s the life of a musician, but I can out-sing a pool table any day. After all, they’re always flat.

— My new single, Burning Road, is getting noticed. I expect to have some reviews to share soon. Downloads and streams have been good across platforms, and it’s proving to be a real hit in my live show. If you haven’t seen the lyric video, check it out here. I’m very proud of it and my song.

— I’ve been sending hundreds of emails and making dozens of phone calls working to book my 2018 August Festival Tour. I’ve just about booked my target of 10 shows, ranging from Kamloops BC to Fernie BC and points betwixt and beyond. I’m still looking for a couple of shows to fill in the gaps. If any of y’all want to book me for a concert in your home please get in touch. We have lots of time to set it up, and believe me, once you try hosting live music in your home you’ll be hooked.

— For you Twitterers, I’m once again engaging with that platform, albeit sporadically. I find it takes over my life. Intervention anyone? Lol

— I’m thrilled to announce my first big festival appearance – at the South Cariboo Garlic Fest in Lac La Hache BC in August! Nice thing about playing a garlic festival – it doesn’t matter if you stink! Of course I’ll be sending details closer to the date.

— I’ve also started booking my 2018 Hometown Tour for fall 2018. I’m on a mission to play as many great local venues as I can this year, so that means the Vancouver & the Lower Mainland all the way out to Hope, up to Whistler, and including the Sunshine Coast. Stay huddled close to your computer phone for dates and announcements.

As usual, get in touch if you want to put on a house concert.

— I’m planning to record another single this fall. I’m leaning towards a cover song from one of my greatest influences as a tribute and a thanks to them. Check your in-basket incessantly for updates.

That’s a bit of what’s keeping me busy lately. I hope you’re doing well, I hope you enjoy your summer, and I’ll see you at a show.
