Bluhouse Cafe and JML are teaming up for a night of music and community giving! The Cafe is a wonderful little gem in Deep Cove, serving delicious coffee, amazing baking, and a wide selection of Earth-Friendly products for around the house.
It’s 2 hours of JML Music, up close and personal, showcasing his pithy original tunes and unique covers of some of his songwriting heroes: John Prine; Townes Van Zandt; Steve Earle; Hank Williams; Van Morrison and more.

Admission is by donation of a food or grocery item for the North-Shore Harvest Project. Here’s what Joe McGuinness of the Harvest Project suggests for donations:
“A great idea would be to collect pull ups or diapers size 5,6. Toiletries are also in high demand– shampoo, conditioner, tooth brush and paste, toilet paper, soap, disposable razors, feminine products, etc.…. 70 % of our clients are women, with 50% being single moms. These are essential items that are desperately needed and come right out of their limited grocery budget.
Here is a short list of most needed items food items … canned chicken, salmon or tuna, canned veggies, canned fruit, small cans of soup, rice, coffee, granola bars….
The families that we engage with are struggling for all sorts of reasons – illness, disability, and job loss to name but a few. Hundreds of parents with their children, newer residents, along with people experiencing chronic health challenges, all benefit from our services. We provide coaching and counsel, emotional, physical and psychological support, as well as supplementary groceries, and clothing.
Your support and generosity has a major impact in bringing dignity back to these families. It is our privilege to be a part of this caring community. Thanks in advance for playing your part in offering “A Hand Up, not a hand out” to our neighbours in need.”
